Our Story

Growing Since 2012

Peshem Farm was born from a family’s long-standing connection with the land. Many years ago, my father and mother purchased this land and began farming primarily to provide food for the family rather than as a commercial agribusiness. Farming was therefore part of our family life, but as a young person, I did not initially see agriculture as something I wanted to pursue.

My perspective changed after I watched my late cousin earn between Ksh 1,000 and Ksh 2,000 from the soil as early as 8:30 every morning. That experience opened my eyes to the potential of agriculture and made me realize that farming could be more than just a way of producing food—it could also be a sustainable and profitable business. Inspired by what I saw, I began researching better seed varieties, modern farming practices, and more efficient ways of producing healthy food. Today, that journey has grown into Peshem Farm.

The name Peshem is derived from Peninah and Shem, reflecting the family roots and inspiration behind the farm. Located on five acres of land in Angorom, Peshem Farm is committed to growing fresh, healthy, safe, and high-quality food for our consumers while caring for the land that makes our work possible. We believe that successful farming should not only focus on production, but also on sustainability, soil health, responsible use of water, and the well-being of the people who consume our produce.

Our farming practices include the use of organic plots, organic pesticides, compost, and organic manure. We also practice water conservation and irrigation, Integrated Pest Management, and crop rotation to help maintain healthy soils, manage pests responsibly, and support sustainable production. As we continue to grow, Peshem Farm is committed to embracing improved and climate-smart farming practices that strengthen productivity, protect natural resources, and build resilience for the future. Our goal is simple: to grow fresh, safe, nutritious, and high-quality food while building a sustainable farm that can serve our community and future generations. Peshem Farm is more than just a farm, it is a journey of family heritage, learning, innovation, and a growing belief in the power and potential of agriculture. "The farm is Part of Me!"
